I'm obsessed with the chocolate chip banana bread! The bakery is pricey but I'm happy to support a small business.

After finishing a celebratory dinner, a friend forewarned me about a gift that she placed in my car trunk. After a long day of tasks, errands, and making sure everything at home was in place before our celebratory event of a dinner, I was exhausted and stuffed when I got home a little before 10 pm. Heeding my friend's advice, I placed the contents in this bag in a sandwich Ziplock bag and refrigerated it. A couple days later, I pulled it out of the fridge. That's when I figured out that they gifted me a slice of banana bread (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=GnIaJbCL3wp-G8fywEujNA). It was thick dense and heavy which made me worried about my skimpy waistline... not so skimpy. I knew the portion size would be enough for two sittings. After that first bite... well, let's just say it was awfully tempting to gobble it up like a Pac Man. Despite being refrigerated for two days, it was not the least bit dry. The bread was delicious, not overly sweet, and the amount of walnuts and large chocolate chips meshed perfectly with the banana flavor. Thank you to my thoughtful friends for getting me this. Now I have another place to go sweets hunting in Burlingame.

A cute bake shop in downtown Burlingame with difficult street parking but some tasty treats. I loved the smores bar, but it needed more marshmallows. My boyfriend (celiac) loved the gluten-free cookie. We enjoyed a too-big meringue together and we felt very full. So why not five stars? The price... This is a wonderful, perfect-service, adorable shop with a wonderful ambience. But it cost as much as a dinner.
